Welcome to Närpes Adult Education Centre!

The Närpes Adult Education Centre is an educational institution that offers opportunities of broadening your spare time interests or improving your knowledge of a specific subject. Every year the adult education centre offers about 550 courses of varying length and different subject areas, from practical short courses to theoretical university subjects in the Open University. Furthermore general lectures, seminars and conferences are arranged. Exhibitions and excursions supplement the range of choice, which is based on the needs and wishes of the inhabitants and decentralized as much as possible.We hope that everyone will find the way to lifelong learning.

It is also possible to study fulltime at the adult eduction centre.
In the Tenth year you can improve your grades, your knowledge and skills before you apply to another school. The group can also function as a resource class for grades 7-9 with special needs instruction in small groups on the subjects required by the student.

Through the Immigrant program you can learn Swedish, Finnish and Social Studies. Practical training and other subjects are also offered. In the academic year 2010-11 the Adult Education Centre offers Immigrant course I for beginners, Immigrant course II for more advanced learners of Swedish and also an Immigrant course which focuses on Finnish. An Arts Workshop is open to students of all ages.

In the SÖFF-building you can also find the music institute Legato and projects such as GIIÖB and Shaisyd as well as the Yttermark library.
